A first blog, like a first day at school or a first kiss is always the most exciting, and most terrifying. But I’ve always been one to jump in with both feet and get started. So here goes.
I am an organizer at heart. I was the girl at school with the neat desk who always had her homework done on time. Later, as my life got more complicated I advanced to lists and systems to keep me organized and efficient. I even took a job after college as an Industrial Engineer (aka Efficiency Expert) where I earned a big salary to organize other people.
I recently had the audacious idea that it would be fun to write a book about my organizing philosophy. That’s how Quantum Organizing was born. Quantum is from the Latin for “how much†as in “how much stuff do we really need?†A quantum leap describes a jump to a whole new level. Together those definitions describe my approach to getting and staying organized.
The first step to quantum organizing is to clarify your vision for that space. The second step is to take action. Clearing out the clutter will leave you not only more organized but also more energized.
